Peter Underwood and The 1851Ghost Society

untitledPeter Underwood, (1923 – 2014) was the author of more than 50 books on ghost-hunting and the paranormal. Having been invited to join the Ghost Club by Harry Price, Underwood was its President from 1962 and 1993. In 1947 he joined the Society for Psychical Research. In 1993 the Ghost Club would split with 80% of its members leaving to form the Ghost Club Society which Peter Underwood become its life president. A fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, he also served as president of the Unitarian Society for Psychical Studies and was a life member of the Vampire Research Society (evolved out of the British Occult Society of 1860-1988)

 

 

 

 

 

The Vampire's Bedside CompanionSean Manchester is an Honorary Life Member of the Ghost Club Society and founding President of the Vampire Research Society, having been President of the British Occult Society from  June 1967 until dissolution of that society on August 1988.
