The first President of the United States, President George Washington would also be Scot-Irish, that most of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War would be made up of Scot-Irish soldiers.

He became a fallen hero and rallying symbol of the American Revolution. Whose direct descendants were Confederate Lt. Col Waller T. Patton and his brothers Col. George Smith Patton and John Mercer Patton, who in turn were ancestors of General George S. Patton, Jr.

Green Mountain Boys were a militia organization first established in the 1760s, as many Scots settled in the territory between the British provinces of New York and New Hampshire, the Green Mountain Boys became the state militia of a new country which on January 15, 1777 declared the region independent, and became known as the Vermont Republic. It would became part of the United States in 1791. The Constitution of the Vermont Republic would be the first to outlaw slavery in the New World.

One of the most Conservative Congressman in American history according to the American Conservative Union, the National Right to Life Committee, Gun Owners of America, and the American Security Council. although a Democrat, served in the Navy as a Flight Surgeon, a doctor like that of the Scotsman Hugh Mercer (a close friend of President George Washington), was the Scottish Lawrence Patton McDonald, M.D. (April 1, 1935 – September 1, 1983), a cousin of the Scottish General George S. Patton.
When England was not able to defeat America during the American Revolution (1775- 1782), they tried again during the War of 1812. Being unsuccessful in overthrowing those of the Scottish Enlightenment (Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Alexander Hamilton were schooled by Scottish teachers, to name a few); they would use British socialist progressives to do what forced was unable to do.
An interesting note is that the Scottish King James Version was simply called “the bible” till shortly after the War of 1812. When progressives in England started to plan the replacement started to call “the bible”, the King James version so as to place in the minds of Christians that “the bible” was no longer the “word of God”, but an English version of “the bible”. This was at the VERY heart of the Progressive movement.
